Spotlight of The Month for August 2021: Patricia Spychaj

“You have to believe and trust in Him.”

Patricia Spychaj is our Spotlight of the Month for August 2021. She has been a part of the St. Agnes-Our Lady of Fatima Church for 9 years, and she regularly volunteers to read the First and Second Readings at the 10:30 AM Mass. She loves everything about the church including “the choir, the people, the family atmosphere”, and she especially enjoys the homilies and sermons given by Br. Bob and Deacon Martin. She is also frequently involved in activities at the Fatima Family Center every Tuesday and Thursday.

Patricia was born and raised here in Cleveland, OH, and she graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1973. She is an arts and crafts enthusiast who enjoys crochets and spends time decorating and coloring Bibles. She is also an avid reader and she makes time to read the Bible every day, citing the Book of Job and the Book of Psalms as her favorites. Faith has greatly influenced her life. Her love for Jesus has helped her through times of adversity, and she says that “You have to believe and trust in Him.” Her words of encouragement for the church are to “Guide, train, and support our young people and give them words of wisdom.”
